The Allnic H-5500 is a high-performance vacuum tube phono stage developed as the successor to the popular H-1202. Designed to offer greater flexibility, improved power supply performance, and enhanced cartridge compatibility, it provides dedicated support for both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges through separate MM and MC inputs.
The design combines premium Permalloy-core MC step-up transformers, NOS E180CC twin triodes, and a pure Class A, zero negative feedback circuit architecture. Combined with upgraded mu-metal shielding and increased power supply capacity, these elements are intended to deliver lower noise, improved dynamics, and greater musical realism across the frequency range.
The H-5500 also features variable MC gain and loading options, tube-regulated power supplies, front-panel tube status monitoring, and a rigid aluminium chassis designed to minimise vibration. The result is a versatile phono stage engineered to extract exceptional performance from a wide variety of analogue playback systems.
