The ALLNIC Amber is a high-performance moving coil (MC) phono cartridge developed to closely replicate the mechanics of the cutting head used to create vinyl records. By adopting a cutter-head-inspired structure, the Amber is designed to retrieve more information from the record groove, delivering highly detailed, accurate, and engaging musical reproduction.
A key aspect of the Amber’s design is its use of lightweight hollow polycarbonate bobbins and newly developed copper clad aluminium (CCA) dual coils. This low-mass construction allows the coils to respond more quickly to groove modulations compared to conventional designs, helping to improve detail retrieval and tracking performance. The cartridge also positions the coils closer to the stylus tip, further enhancing responsiveness and musical precision.
To complement this innovative generator design, the Amber incorporates a solid boron cantilever, Fritz Gyger S stylus, and a newly developed ALLNIC rubber damper system. Together, these elements are engineered to provide excellent tracking ability, channel separation, and extended frequency response for demanding analogue audio systems.
