The AMG Viella with 12JT pairs the 23kg Viella mass-drive turntable with AMG’s advanced 12JT tonearm. The turntable employs a decoupled 24V Lorenz brushless DC motor with quartz-controlled round-belt drive and a 12kg three-piece composite platter. A 20mm high-precision shaft and partially hydrodynamic bearing system work with the aerospace-grade aluminium chassis and dedicated damping materials to provide smooth, stable operation across 33.33, 45 and 78 RPM.

The 12JT represents an advanced development of AMG’s 12-inch tonearm architecture, with optimisation of the arm housing, effective mass and adjustment capabilities. Its 304.8mm effective length and 13.9g effective mass are complemented by integrated precision setup controls, magnetic anti-skating, adjustable VTA and integrated azimuth adjustment. Custom internal wiring with gold-plated connections is specifically twisted to minimise magnetic resonances and discontinuities, while each tonearm is individually hand assembled, precisely measured and comprehensively tested.
