The AMG Viella with 12J2 combines AMG’s high-precision mass-drive turntable with its established 12-inch precision tonearm. The Viella uses a decoupled 24V Lorenz brushless DC motor, quartz-controlled round-belt drive and a 12kg three-piece composite platter incorporating high-density aluminium, PUR damping and a highly absorbent polymer carrier plate. Its 23kg construction and partially hydrodynamic high-precision bearing system are engineered for smooth, stable analogue playback at 33.33, 45 and 78 RPM.

The 12J2 tonearm uses AMG’s precision radial-axis bearing architecture together with comprehensive cartridge adjustment capabilities. A 304.8mm effective length is combined with magnetic anti-skating, integrated azimuth adjustment and precisely adjustable VTA. A two-piece stainless steel counterweight optimises force and mass distribution, while custom internal wiring with gold-plated connections and a resonance-optimised aluminium arm tube support accurate low-level signal transmission.
