Description

The AMG Ventus is a high-performance phono preamplifier developed for both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges, combining extensive cartridge matching options with fully balanced and unbalanced connectivity. Its dual-mono architecture is housed in a solid-milled aluminium enclosure, with mechanically decoupled PCBs and discrete JFET and MOSFET circuitry designed to preserve low-level analogue signals with high accuracy and minimal interference.

Three inputs and one output can each be configured for balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA operation, while five gain settings and extensive impedance and capacitive loading options allow the Ventus to accommodate a wide range of phono cartridges. An open-loop topology without negative feedback, precision RIAA equalisation and selected silver and gold capacitors further support accurate, low-noise analogue reproduction.
